“The details are details. They make the product. It will in the end be these details that give the product its life.”—Charles Eames

Hello, I’m Phil.

I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Design degree from the York University/Sheridan College Joint Program in Design in 2008. I am currently employed as a web designer and developer at Context Creative, a design studio in downtown Toronto.

Outside of work I am an avid rock climber. If I'm not outside climbing real rocks, I can usually be found inside at the climbing gym. I'm also ranked 9th in the world for the World Graphic Designer Foosball Championship held annually in NYC.

Expertise

I have extensive knowledge in many areas of design including branding & identity, web (desktop and mobile), print, motion graphics and user interface.

I am well versed in the latest software including Adobe CS5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash Professional, After Effects and Flex Builder), Final Cut Studio 3, Microsoft Office and Interface Builder. I also have experience with a number of programming languages including HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Objective-C, MXML and ActionScript.
